Menuchah

“Menuchah” is a Hebrew word that means peacefully, stillness, or the quiet place. In your walk with Jesus day by day, “menuchah”  can be understood as an invitation to Follow the Lord, your Good Shepherd, into His meadow—His dwelling place, His quiet place, His resting place, His protected place, His safe place, His nurturing place—where your heart will be comforted, where your love will be deepened, where your faith will be strengthened, where your soul will be renewed.

Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high,
And the wilderness becomes a fertile field
And the fertile field is considered as a forest.
Then justice will dwell in the wilderness,
And righteousness will abide in the fertile field.
And the work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation,
And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places.
Isaiah 32:15-18

Ah... I love it. What a peaceful retreat!

Exactly what the Lord has been speaking to me about lately... In fact He gave me that exact scripture. Learning to rest on purpose, mostly in my thoughts. Thank you this.

I probably won't be able to put words to what I'm thinking...
In the chaos of this age, the quiet peace of God is a loud witness.
...that comes close.
