Jesus, Our Only Option—Part 4

Although it has only three letters, the word “all” has huge implications.  “All” means total, complete, or whole. In a baseball game, if one team scored all the runs it means the other team scored none. If one candidate received all the votes in an election it means the other candidate received none. If a doctor tells you to take all of your antibiotics it means he doesn’t want any left over.

The word “all” is another way God affirms to us who Jesus, His Son, truly is. If Jesus is the “all” of God, it means that God has eliminated every other option. Here are a few of the “alls” that we find in scripture concerning Jesus Christ:

All Things Were Created By Jesus
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. John 1:3

All Things Were Created For Jesus
All things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16

All Things Hold Together  In Jesus
And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:17

All Things Are Subservient to Jesus
And He is the head of the body, the church, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18

All Things Are Reconciled by Jesus
By Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
Colossians 1:20

All Things Are Through Jesus
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. 1 Corinthians 8:6

All Things Belong to Jesus
All things that the Father has are Mine. John 16:15

All Things Are Under the Authority of Jesus
Of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. Romans 9:5

All Things Will Be Gathered Together in Jesus
That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him. Ephesians 1:10

All Promises Are Fulfilled in Jesus
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT

All Blessings Are Provided in Jesus
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  Ephesians 1:3

All Victory Is Secured in Jesus
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: Ephesians 1:21

All Dominion Belongs to Jesus
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church. Ephesians 1:22

All Fullness Is Found in Jesus
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:23

All Wisdom and Knowledge Are in Jesus
Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:3

All and All Is in Jesus
Christ is all, and in all. Colossians 3:11

Jesus Christ is God’s all—all God’s fullness, all God’s treasures of wisdom and knowledge, all God’s authority, all God’s power, all God’s blessings, all God’s promises are yours today if you are in Christ. God has no other plan, no other purpose, no other provision, and no other person for you other than Jesus Christ.

Roy,
Thanks for the reminder.
"All" is a challenging word when you truly understand what it demands.

Thanks - Jesse
