I Am Persuaded
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. 2 Timothy 1:12
Are you persuaded? What about? Not wishing about, not wondering about, not hoping for the best about, but persuaded about?
There are certain things we can be completely confident about and be fully persuaded are the truth. They are the things that become our foundations and what we can build our life upon.
Here are a few things you can be persuaded about...
- God's plans are greater than man's plans and man's plans cannot frustrate, cancel or hinder God's plans for my life.
- God knows the plans He has for me and He asks me to trust in Him with all my heart to fulfill those plans.
- God never makes a bad decision and He never makes a mistake.
- Every decision God makes for my life is a wise decision because God is wisdom.
- Every decision God makes for my life is a loving decision because God is love.
- Every decision God makes for my life is a good decision because God is good. * God will never leave me nor forsake me. Therefore, I do not need to be afraid or worry about where God's decisions will take me.

Thanks for the post. We are going through uncertain times with my wife having a large growth on her ovary. It seems to take so long to get in for help these days. I need to trust Him for the outcome. Thanks again.

Don't forget the main thing brothers and sisters, it sis to be sealed by the holly spirit. For he is a source from that source we will be able to handle those miseries, calmities, sorrows.. and so forth.
Without him all our efforts will be vanities or will be as if we watch our hands ands dry with dirty stuffs !
A great shalom to every one...and be fullfil by the holly spirit !

Today I bought a lovely journal and wrote the lines posted on June 14th on the first page.. My youngest of three children, my son will be undergoing a kidney transplant next year. My middle son is the donor. Please pray and believe with me that the transplant will be successful and that it will go well for both my boys. Michael needs the new kidney and Asher is the donor. Thank you. Your books are a real blessing of encouragement, to never give up on God and people. Shalom to each of you.

I have always loved the old chorus "For I Know Whom I Have Believed......." and often hum or sing it. Just now I am frustrated as I wait for more heart surgery, am in a wheelchair & have had to give up teaching Sunday School etc etc.
But I continue to say "Thank You Lord" because he tells us to give thanks in all things & has proved that He loves me so often.
And THANK YOU for these posts, they are a blessing!

I have a mass in my leg and went for a Ultra-Sound Friday. Please pray for me. Roy Lessin you help me keep my eyes on Jesus! I must never take my eyes off of him of Satan will try to give me evil thoughts about this.
Blessings,

Thank you so much. Our 3 year old son is facing surgery this coming week and things have been stressful. Thank you for reminding us of His urging to be "persuaded" and nothing less.

Thank you so much for this post.
I was having a hard time unable to trust fully in God. I was confessing my weakness and asking Him to strengthen my faith in me. That was when i came across this post and was like a word from the Lord.
May God bless you...

Having lost my husband a month ago after a 5 year battle with colon cancer I find myself "falling apart". Fulfilling the role of caregiver all that time left me wondering; what will I do now? Reading this reminder that God has it all planned out just as I believed he did for Edwin, I can turn to the scriptures for the assurances that will hopefully bring the much needed peace.

Hey, this is just the message I need at this point in time in my life. I need to be persuaded about the plans of God for me and not stagger about what circumstances and people think or say. I have been abundately blessed by this article. Please may God bless and inspire you with many more for the benefit and ministry to many more.

My husband and I have trusting God for the gift of children. We are in the sixth year of our marriage. I have been encouraged by your message that "God never makes a bad decision and He never makes a mistake." Please pray for us to continue trusting and having faith in the plans God has for us.

Thank you and God bless you for your inspiring words of hope and encouragement. It was a blessing to me when I read them this morning. It has been a challenging past year with major surgery for my son and my husband's illnesses and him not being able to work. Sometimes in the midst, I need to be reminded that God is still on the throne and is always working for His glory and our good. To God be all the glory.

As I read through all the postings I was impressed with the glory and honor we can give our God by trusting Him despite apparently unfulfilled promises. His Word is "true and faithful" no matter how it may appear to us. Praise God we can depend on Him to keep His Word.
