The Story Behind The Card

David served his generation according to the will of God. Acts 13:36 (NLT)

When I wrote the message “Just Think” it came at a time when two things were strongly on my mind. The first was the impact that the teaching of evolution was having on our generation. The second was the need for people to understand that God has a purpose and plan for their lives.

Evolution is far more than a theory that attempts to explain how the universe and life came into existence. It places “chance” on the throne, instead of a loving, personal Creator. Life was never intended to be a gamble. “Chance” does not rule our universe; “luck” does not influence our existence; “fate” does not guide our destiny.

I once drove by a billboard that displayed a picture of a cute baby. Next to the picture was the statement, “If they only came with instructions.” The billboard was clever, but it was also a sad reminder that many people believe it is up to us to figure out the meaning and purpose of our lives. Thankfully, through His Word, God has provided written instructions for each life that comes into the world.

God did not bring you into this world to live without a purpose, to exist without a reason, or function without meaning. Let me assure you once again that you are here, not by chance, but because you are a unique creation of God. He loves you, cares about you, and wants you to know Him as He knows you. God desires to use you, according to His will, to make His great plan known to this generation.

Thought For Your Day

Jesus loves you, no one could be kinder;
He cares for you, no one could be more thoughtful;
He prays for you, no one could be more understanding;
He guides you, no one could more watchful;
He keeps you, no one could be more protective.

Thought For Your Day

As you live in the light of Jesus’ love, He wants you to "press on" in your daily walk of faith and obedience, and to "press in" to all that He has in His heart for you.

Any Suggestions?

I recently wrote a short poem titled What Is Best. I am not sure the best way to use it here at DaySpring. Do you have any suggestions? Do you think it would work on a card? If so, what would be the sending situation? Do you think it would work on a different type of product? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks.

What Is Best

When you have joy like a fountain,
grace to climb the highest mountain…
Truth that is your sure foundation,
freedom from all condemnation…
Peace beyond all earthly measure,
heaven’s riches as your treasure…
Hope that gives you expectation,
love that brings you affirmation…
Then your heart has found true rest,
for you have tasted of God’s best.
